F4901: implement split with 'convert' (jpeg). Refactor chmod(), unlink(), rename(), rmdir(), copy() to use by QFQ version which throws an exception.

thumbnail: empty path filename no ignored. Instead of throwing an exception, it returns just nothing. This is the same behaviour as building links - no definition means 'no link', and not 'error'.
